The purpose of this blog is to promote, strengthen, and grow the metal community. For those of us who have grown up as fans of metal music, we all know it’s a niche that is not always well understood. In addition, finding this type of music often requires actively seeking out the music and promotion in the 80s often consisted of passing around cassette tapes or recording late night radio shows. Fast forward to 2020, and there is ample opportunity to utilize technology to keep the metal community strong. My goal is to keep the conversation going, showcase the new generation of up-and-coming metal bands and honor the people/bands that forged this path.
Blog topics will include new album and concert reviews, bands you should know, showcasing other factions of the metal community, and some of my personal lists that I hope will spark healthy debate (emphasis on healthy, we are all part of the same community).
With time, I would also like incorporate a “database” aspect where community members can compile and access their music memories including history of concerts attended, concert memorabilia, and cherished stories.
