Sweden’s ORBIT CULTURE could quickly join the ranks of band’s like LAMB OF GOD or GOJIRA in the coming year’s. Their mix of metal genres are brutally heavy but remain grounded in melodic song structures. You won’t hear many bands with more ferocity than ORBIT CULTURE.
This crossover thrash supergroup are no strangers to the art of crossover. High energy, precision musicianship, and clearly having fun, this group produces a vintage thrash/punk sound for a new generation.
This week, we were joined by guitarist Santiago Maravilla of KADAVRO, a young Death/Thrash band from Argentina, to discuss their experiences in the metal world and their efforts to keep old-school metal alive.
The debut EP from Switzerland’s JUDGE MINOS is so impressive it’s hard to believe “The Keeper of Imbalance” is their first release. Taking influence from power/thrash bands like METAL CHURCH, SLAYER, and ICED EARTH, the group makes a statement on this album. Incredible vocals, precise musicianship and tightly written songs make JUDGE MINOS a group to watch.
