FIGHT
Originally Active: 1992-1995
Number of Albums: 2
BIO:
FIGHT was formed by Rob Halford in 1992 after his departure from JUDAS PRIEST. The musical direction of this new project was less like JUDAS PRIEST, and closer to a thrash/groove sound similar to PANTERA. The group released two albums in their short existence – the first, “War of Words”, is ranked on Rock Hard Magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Rock & Metal Albums of All Time. Both albums made the US Billboard charts and live on as some of the best material ever released by the legendary Halford.
The band split up on 1995 as Halford continued to experiment with different genres of music – he would soon form the industrial-influenced 2WO.
INITIAL ALBUMS:
“War of Words” (1993)
“A Small Deadly Space” (1995)
REUNIONS:
FIGHT has not reunited since a one-off performance in December 1997. Both of their albums were remixed and remastered in 2008 (though I prefer the original versions), and Rob Halford has contemplated a FIGHT reformation in interviews, but nothing has come to fruition
